v1.6.2

UI overhaul and cross-platform improvements

This update introduces a major upgrade to the UMM interface, improving how it adapts across screen sizes, resolutions, and platforms.

Highlights

Adaptive UI system

The interface now responds more intelligently to window size, screen resolution, and user scaling preferences.

Density modes

New Comfortable, Compact, and Dense modes give you control over how much information is visible without sacrificing readability.

Improved scaling behavior

Refined UI scaling with better handling of different display configurations and DPI settings.

Windows rendering improvements

Improved clarity and stability on Windows, especially at smaller scales, with more consistent text, controls, and layout behavior.

Cross-platform consistency

Reduced visual and behavioral differences between macOS and Windows for a more unified experience.

Window positioning reliability

Improved window restore behavior to prevent dialogs from opening off-screen when changing resolution or scaling.

Stability Improvements

More predictable behavior across macOS and Windows with fewer edge-case failures.

Texture Transform

Improved stability and consistency when applying texture transforms, especially in nested geometry and complex models.

Security Hardening

Additional safeguards ensure all UI actions and premium tools are validated through the core engine before execution.

This strengthens protection against modified client environments and improves licensing reliability.

Result

UMM now feels more stable, flexible, and predictable across a wide range of setups, from laptops to ultrawide and high-resolution displays.

v1.6.1

Stability and Performance Update

This update refines several core operations introduced in 1.6, improving performance, reliability, and responsiveness when working with large or complex models.

Improvements

Material Diagnostics

Significant performance improvements when analyzing large selections. More stable diagnostics execution across both macOS and Windows.

Merge Duplicates

Refactored merge engine for improved accuracy and performance. More reliable detection and merging of duplicate materials, with better handling of complex nested geometry.

Edit Material Workflow

Updated material color picker for a more consistent editing experience.

Material Thumbnails

Improved thumbnail generation and refresh behavior. More reliable preview updates when materials change.

Result

Material operations across UMM should now feel faster, more predictable, and more robust when working with large scenes and complex models.

Security Hardening

Additional internal safeguards have been added to ensure that premium tools and licensing state are always validated by the core engine before execution.

These changes improve resilience against modified client environments and strengthen the reliability of the licensing system.

v1.6.0

Major Core Update

Version 1.6 introduces a major rewrite of the material engine, bringing more consistent behavior across tools and significantly improving reliability in complex models.

New: Materializer

Create structured material placeholders directly from your model's Outliner structure.

Materializer builds material libraries automatically from components and groups, making it easier to organize large scenes and prepare models for rendering pipelines.

New: Replace Materials Modes

Replace Materials now includes two workflows:

Simple Mode

Fast one-to-one material replacement across the entire model.

Batch Mode

Multi-row mapping for replacing many materials in a single operation.

New: Single Window Mode (Drawers)

Material Library, Replace Materials, and Texture Transform can now run inside one main window using drawer panels.

This keeps workflows faster and reduces window clutter while working.

Unified Rule-Based Material System

All tools now follow the same internal material rules.

Selection defines scope, structure is respected, and operations produce more predictable results across nested components and complex models.

Improvements

  • Texture Transform is significantly faster and more responsive
  • More consistent behavior across Assign, Remove, Replace, Apply to Faces, and Materializer
  • Improved stability for large models
  • Faster material operations
  • Cleaner interaction with nested components and groups

Bug Fixes

  • Various fixes related to material assignment and model cleanup
  • Improved reliability in edge cases involving nested geometry

v1.5.3

Improved Apply to Faces workflow and debugging clarity.

v1.5.2

Improved reliability of material thumbnail handling.

v1.5.1

Performance improvements for SketchUp 2026.1.

v1.5.0

Initial public release.
